The incident occurred around 10:30 pm on Thursday. It is learned that on the morning of April 10, two groups clashed over allegations of harassing a mother and daughter visiting the Chilmari-Haripur Teesta Bridge during Eid at the Haripur Shahar intersection in Chilmari, Kurigram and Sundarganj upazila in Gaibandha district. Upon receiving the information, an army team from Kurigram went to control the situation. Kurigram Police Superintendent Md. Mahfuzur Rahman visited the scene around 10:30 pm that day. At that time, an unknown local journalist, Jahangir Alam Saddam, took pictures and videos, and the police superintendent’s bodyguard took his phone, deleted the video and returned the phone. Regarding this incident, journalist Syed Ahmed Babu said, “To my knowledge, I don’t think the Kurigram Police Superintendent could have committed such an incident.” Regarding this, District Police Superintendent Md.
